Wilma Wyrick Wells, age 83 of Chardon passed away Feb. 3, 2021 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland after a brief illness. Born Feb 12, 1937 in Chattanooga, TN to Vernon and Arlene (nee: Jones) Wyrick, she had been a resident of Detroit, MI and Mentor before moving to Chardon in 1976. Wilma graduated from Cass Technical High School in Detroit (Class of 1955) and Lakeland College School of Nursing (Class of 1978). Along with an extensive nursing career, she was also an active member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Mentor. Survivors include her children Stephen (Justine) of Garfield Hts., Martin (Chrystel) of Cincinnati, and Ryan of Garfield Hts.; sister Kay Ruggiero of Hudson, FL and five grandchildren; Joseph Wells of Columbus, OH, Jacob Wells of Busan, South Korea, Robert Wells of Garfield Hts., Benjamin Wells of Cincinnati, and Sara Wells of Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Charles Wyrick. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 7989 Little Mountain Road, Mentor, OH 44060 with burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
