Thomas F. Branem, age 78 of Geneva, passed away Nov. 19. 2022, at his home. Born December 28, 1943, in Kirtland to Clarence and Agnes (nee: Watts) Branem, he had been a longtime area resident. Thomas served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1962 – 1966. He worked as a machinist, retiring from Kinemetal in 1998. Tom loved fishing, spending time and being active at church, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his wife Carla. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Carla (nee: Conti) Branem of Geneva; children Thomas (Manuela) Branem Jr of Sarver, PA, Darrell Branem of Charlotte, NC, Debra (Donald) Wolfe of Melbourne, FL and Roberta Branem, of Melbourne, FL; Doug Hayhurst of Geneva and Sandy Polic-Hayhurst of Madison; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Jack C. Branem, Alvie J. Branem, Dorothy Digby, Mary Lou Ely, Rita White and Joni Ingle. A funeral service will be at 12pm on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, at Bible Baptist Church, 4448 N. Ridge Road W (St. Rt. 20), Ashtabula, OH 44004.
