Sally Ann (nee: Chuhra) Chase, age 80, of Painesville, passed away peacefully April 24, 2026, at The Cottage Assisted Living. Born Oct. 19, 1945, in Butler, PA, to John E. and Carrie Ruth (nee: Smith) Chuhra, she had been a longtime area resident.

Sister to John Edard Chuhra III.  Loving mother to Thomas Skillman (Pamela), Alan Chase, Alisa Richelle Chase, Mac Chase all of Painesville. Grandmother to Leslie Johnson (Jason), Sandra Granberg, Kimberly Gentry, Dakota and Hunter Talikka, Kody Uden (Amanda), Kolton Adams-Beech, Madison Skillman, Maclain, McKinnley, Mccailin Chase.  Great- grandmother to nine. Sally was preceded in death by her mother and father Carrie and John Chuhra and step-mother Grace (nee: Maclain) Chuhra, daughter Alisa Richelle Chase, sister Lavonne Ruth (Gus) Wallace.  

Sally, spent a large part of her life working for the US Post Office in Mentor, OH and Clearwater, FL and retiring from the Mentor office after approximately 35 years of dedicated service.  She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Mentor, Oh. 

Sally will be cremanted and interred with her daughter in Willoughby, OH and with her mother in Butler, PA at a futre date.  The family will have a celebration of life at a future date. Since Mom had a huge love of animals especially those in need of loving homes.  Any donations can be made in her honor to the Mentor Humane society.
