Peter Ronald Ticel III, age 85, of Fairport Harbor, passed away on July 2, 2026, at Reserve Hospice in Euclid.
Born September 29, 1940, in Painesville, he was the son of Peter Ronald Ticel II and Elizabeth Ticel. He was a lifelong resident of Fairport Harbor.
Peter proudly served his country in the United States Army and later retired from Lubrizol. He was well known for his love of collecting and was often affectionately referred to as the greatest “junk man” to ever live—a title he carried with pride and humor.
He is survived by his son, Peter Ronald Ticel IV and his wife, Lori; his grandchildren, Joshua Ticel and his wife, Shaina, Nichole Ticel, and Cori Masi; and his great-grandson, Landon Ticel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Ronald Ticel II; his mother, Elizabeth Ticel; and his beloved wife, Sylvia Ticel.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 10:00 a.m., at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
He will be remembered for his unique spirit, his dedication to his family, and the many treasures he found—and kept—throughout his life.
