Paul H. Taylor

Paul was born in Little Washington, PA to parents, Paul M and Thelma Spicer Taylor. Paul moved to Ohio when he was four where he lived with his mom and loving step-dad, Ralph Cornett. Thelma was a wonderful, devoted mom, who Paul loved deeply. Ralph later married Sarah, who treated Paul like a son, and Paul loved her and his step-sister, Denise “DK (Dan) Ferry Muehlhauser, and his step-brother, Karl J Ferry. Paul graduated from Harvey High School, and enlisted in the Navy after graduation. After being discharged from the Navy, he was re-united with his dad and met his amazing step-mom, Ruth Irene Taylor, his sisters, Pamela “Sis” (Darren) Williams, and Paula (Doug) Atkins, and his brothers, Joe (Pat) Taylor, Rick (Robin) Taylor, David Taylor, and Charles (MaryAnne) Taylor. Brothers Perry “Doug” Taylor and William “Billy Taylor are pre-deceased. Paul loved his step-mom and siblings as if he had grown up with them, and he always spoke about how they accepted him as their son and big brother with open arms and open hearts. This meant the world to him. Paul married Bonita “Bonne” Strader Eckenrode in 1980. Growing up as a member of blended families, Paul and Bonne spent their forty years together loving their blended family. Daughter, Michele Taylor, sons, Timothy Paul Taylor “Big Tim”, Paul “TJ” Taylor, Keith (Jenn) Harless, Jeffrey Taylor, Timothy Paul (Angel) Taylor, and William “Billy”Taylor. They were blessed with many grandchildren: Savannah (Orry Carstensen) Mccartney, Mia Ebert, Harrison Ebert, Emmi Taylor, Sophia Taylor, Brayden Taylor, Kayden Taylor, Levi Taylor, Tyson Taylor, and Hailey Taylor. Paul had many good friends – Jack Yeary, who married Bonne’s sister, Terri,- their daughter, Tiffani (Jim) Rosia, sister-in-law, Stephanie Strader Harris, Joe (Cari) Giffin, Buddy Haggerty - Sara (Rob)Terrasi, Emily (Tony) Kurpely Nick (Julie) Russ, Butch (Evelyn) Jennings, John(Robin) Hirsch and “sister by another mother”, Tina (Mike) Giles, and “daughter by another mother”, Samantha “Sam” (Jimmi) Wood Nielsen. These friends were there for Paul in many ways during some of his toughest times. Thank you for caring. You brightened his days with your phone calls and texts, and stopping by to check on him. Thank you for taking his calls when he was lonely and reached out and called you. You were his lifeline. Thank you Dr. Granieri, Debbie and Renee for all you did to help him fight the fight. And thank you Ed Link for giving him Scooby, his little white rescue dog, who became his best buddy and companion. He shared his life, his meals and his recliner. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 5 at 1pm at Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Home 2726 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio with services by Rev. John Germaine and burial to follow at North Madison Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home on Saturday. The Celebration of Paul’s life will begin at 5 p.m. at the Madison Hampton Inn. Please come!
