Marc F. Bartholomew

Marc F. Bartholomew (Coach Bart), a cherished educator, devoted coach, and beloved family man, passed away on August 19, 2025, in Huntsburg, OH, following a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born on February 28, 1950, in Painesville, OH, Marc dedicated 35 years of his life to Chardon Local Schools, retiring in 2007. His impact extended beyond the classroom as he coached various Hilltopper sports, including wrestling, football, and track & field, inspiring generations of young athletes.

As much as Marc loved teaching and coaching, his heart was always with his family. He was a constant source of love, strength, and guidance, never missing an opportunity to support his children and grandchildren in their own pursuits. Family gatherings, holidays, and everyday moments were the times he treasured most. He built a home filled with laughter, encouragement, and unconditional love. To those who knew him best, Marc’s greatest legacy was not only his impact as a teacher and coach, but the unwavering devotion he showed to his family, who always came first in his life.

Marc was an alumnus of Defiance College and earned his Master's Degree from Edinboro University, reflecting his commitment to education and personal growth. He was known for his kind and friendly demeanor, often recognized by his warm smile, which made everyone feel welcomed.

Marc is survived by his loving wife, Virginia "Ginger" (nee: Epstein) Bartholomew, whom he married on May 27, 1972. He leaves behind two children: Shane (Kristal) Bartholomew of Milford, OH, and Katie (Joe) Harwood of Chardon, OH. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Logan, Drew, Sydney and Tyler. He is also survived by his brother, Dale (Pam) Bartholomew of Rockford, IL.

Marc was preceded in death by his parents, Burton A. Bartholomew and Roslyn (nee: Schuler) Bartholomew/Cave.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on August 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at ReportAll/LandGlide Headquarters, located at 15345 Chardon-Windsor Rd, Huntsburg, OH, 44046.
