Larry Donnell Sanders

Larry Donnell Sanders passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at UH Cleveland Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. Larry was born on February 6, 1960 in Senatobia, MS to the Late Sennie Mae Wright and James Sanders. The family moved to Aurora, IL in the mid 1960's. After graduating East Aurora High School, Larry Joined the US Army where he did tours in Korea and Japan. Larry married Barbara Parks in 1986 and the two of them later moved to Ohio. Larry had a strong faith in God and loved his family with all his being. He is survived by his wife Barbara Sanders; two sons Cedric (Quavetta) Ross and Roderick Parks; three daughters Yolanda (Andre) Davis, Samora Love and Sylvia Howell; siblings Mary (Charles) McCaskey-Thompson, Bobby (Jennifer) Sanders, Connie Floyd, Norma Bouchee, Liz Jackson, Felicia Sanders, Michael Sanders, Teresa (Punjare) Carter, Rose Reyes, Deon Crowley, Jessica Crowley, James Crowley and Christopher Crowley; his God children; a host of grandchildren; a great-grandchild; uncles; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends. Larry loved all his grandchildren deeply. He had a special bond with his cousins Dorothy Banks and Timothy Burton; being fondly known as the three amigos. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Robert "Rocky" Robinson, Curtis Sanders and James Sanders Jr; sister Bertha Mae Sanders; nephew Devonte Bouchee; grandparents and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family of Larry Sanders would like to thank you all for your heartfelt words, thoughts and prayers during this time. We invite each of you to keep Larry alive in your hearts. We were each touched by his presence and are better because of it. Thank your for being here and for making Larry's life so meaningful.
