Gerald G. Jevack, age 73, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2017, surrounded by his Family. Most importantly, Gerald adored and loved his wife Virginia, of 52 years and their Three children. Gerald attended Kent State University and Lakeland Community College. He worked at Caterpillar for 35 years, retiring in 2004. Gerald was in the Army National Guard of Ohio and the Army Reserve Band. To continue his enjoyment of playing his trumpet Gerald played with the Indianapolis Municipal Band and the Hillcrest Concert Band for many years. His other passion in life was golf. He was an avid golfer and always enjoyed the challenge of a new golf course with his golf buddies. Gerald was a member at Blackbrook Golf Course and a member of The Old Duffers. Survivors are his Loving wife Virginia (Shea), Daughter Melissa, son Michael (Meghan Walsh) Jevack, Son Matthew (Lisa) Jevack, grandchildren Emma, Eleanor, Mia and Cait. Brothers James (Dorothy) Jevack and Richard (Deborah) Jevack, Sister-in-Laws Judith Radkowski and Patricia Shea-Ruda. Many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Margaret (Paytas) Jevack. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday April 10, 2017, at St. Anthony of Padua Church 316 5th Street Fairport Harbor, Ohio 44077. Burial will be private.
