Fabian Luhta

Fabian J. Luhta, age 99 passed away Jan. 7, 2019 at his home. Born April 11, 1919 in Fairport Harbor to John and Edna (nee: Tenkku) Luhta, he had been a lifelong resident of Lake and Ashtabula counties. He was an equipment operator with the Operator & Engineers Union for many years. Survivors include his children Marjorie Whitas of KS, Edna (David) Medvec of FL, Pat Cooley of Chardon and Charles (Alice) Luhta of Newbury; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Harvey, Adolph, Ray, Dave, Elna and Enid. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Sunday from 5-7pm at the Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes of Painesville 1009 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077. A private family burial will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to the Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes of Painesville.
