Eleanora Marie Frissell (nee Eridon), of Mentor, OH (Bokeelia, FL), passed away peacefully, at Hospice of the Western Reserve, on November 26, 2016. She was born on January 6, 1929 in Cleveland, OH. Ellie was one of five sisters (Emilia, Elsiana, Elizabeth, and Eugenia) born to Romanian immigrants. Life was busy as a youngster attending school, working on a farm and later being a nanny for the Millar family. After graduating from Brush High School she went to work at TAPCO. She met Willard P. Frissell (deceased) and they married on December 7th, 1951. She and Willard joined Mentor Harbor Yacht Club, where they were members for over 60 years. In the 1980's they began to winter in Bokeelia, Florida and Ellie with partner Linda Brower became exceptional duplicate bridge partners. Ellie enjoyed fishing, tennis, bridge, art lessons and gambling with close friends. Ellie shared numerous adventures with her husband and great friends Ken and Connie Krug. Above all Ellie was a reader, and volunteered at a Mentor elementary helping children learn to read. She is survived by her children Willard E. (Laura), Peter D. (Diane), Heather F. Lampman (Steven), 5 grandsons (Alex, Eric, Tom, Scott & Aaron), 2 granddaughters (Liz & Allie), and 2 great-grandchildren.
