Diane Louise Munroe-Wodyka, beloved wife and mother, passed away after a long illness at age 65 in Painesville, OH, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born in Hudson, MI to Helen (Liby) and E. Stanley Munroe, Diane was raised in Coldwater, MI which was her home for more than 40 years. She attended Coldwater High School and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Sienna Heights University. In Coldwater, she met and married her husband, James Wodyka, in 1989, and together they shared more than 36 years of marriage building a life filled with many cherished memories.

Diane was a supportive wife and dedicated mother building a home as they relocated for work to Irwin, PA and finally Concord, OH. As a loving mother she cared for Katherine with compassion and grace. She was known for being diligent and dedicated and worked for more than 25 years as an office administrator in the accounting field, most recently for REA Business Advisors, retiring in April 2026.

Diane loved to travel, garden, read, raise orchids, and birdwatch, especially the hummingbirds in summer at her backyard feeders. She also loved caring for, and spoiling her adopted Rhodesian Ridgeback, Hugo.

Diane Munroe-Wodyka is survived by her devoted husband, James Wodyka, and her daughter Katherine Wodyka of McKees Rock, PA. Also surviving Diane are her brother, Richard Munroe of Lehigh Acres. FL; sister, Sharon (Terry) Baxendale of Clio, MI; and brother Michael (Magda) Miley of Vero Beach, FL, and many other extended family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North Street in Chardon, OH. Visitation will be from 9am to 10am at the church in the Hospitality Room at the back entrance of the church. A private family burial will take place. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary Church Adopt a Student fund or to the Lake County Humane Society.
