Diana R. (nee: Brooks) Reed (better known as Mamall to her loved ones), age 69 of Perry passed away August 11, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Middlefield surrounded by family after a 7-year battle with breast cancer. Born February 16, 1954, in Painesville to Eugene & R. Marie (nee: Huston) Brooks, she had been a lifelong area resident where she managed the Brentwood Apartment Complex in Painesville from 1997-2016 when she retired. Diana enjoyed camping with family and friends and playing Rummy. She loved her dogs Roxie (who will be laid to rest with her) and Molly who will miss her greatly. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and all her neighbors knew how the game was going by the sounds coming from her apartment.
She is survived by her children Stacy (former son in law Kevin of Burton, OH) Luoma of Middlefield, OH and Brian (Angelic) Reed of Madison, OH and her children Cayla Hulderman, Laura (Rafael) Rivera and Sierra Hounshell; grandchildren Cassidie Hall, Cennidie Hall, Meadow Luoma, Jaxon Luoma, Audrianna Reed, and Austin Reed; great grandchildren, older brother Gene (Darlene) Brooks of Quincy, OH and lifelong friend Vickie Tenney of Perry, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 45 years, James D Reed, younger brother Charles Brooks, and granddaughter Caylie Rose Hall.
A visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes of Painesville, 1009 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077 with services to immediately follow. Friends and family are requested to meet at the funeral home again at 11am on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 for a procession to Riverside Cemetery in Painesville for a graveside service. The family invites you to join them for a light lunch at Events on the Avenue, 987 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077 (immediately next door to the funeral home) at 12:30pm following the graveside services.
