Betty R. Murray

Betty R. Murray, age 88, of Mentor passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2017. Betty was born in Cleveland on December 25, 1928 to Raymond H. and Elsie (Wonch) Oliver. She lived in Wickliffe until marrying Edwin Murray in October, 1948, Moving to Mentor in 1953. In addition to her family Betty loved Sailing and Needle work And won numerous Blue ribbons at Country fairs in Ohio and Florida for her work. Betty was very generous in devoting her time in knitting a thousand plus hats for The newborn babies for Birthright. She is survived by her loving husband Ed, Children Colleen Murray, Robert (Jennifer) Murray, And Leigh (Jim) Hill Calvert, grandchildren Tia Murray, Robyn (Brian) Spataro, Sarah and Bethany Greiner, Katie and Meghan Calvert, great grandsons Luca and Sam Spataro and Sister -in-Law Marilyn Oliver. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Keith Oliver and Son-in-Laws Rob Hill and John Greiner. A celebration of Betty's life will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday January 30, 2017 at the Potti Funeral Home 1009 Mentor Ave. Painesville, Ohio 44077.
