Anthony Kennedy

Anthony Kennedy, of Madison, Ohio, passed away on October 24, 2026, in Madison following lifelong health issues. He was born on January 17, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Anthony will be remembered for the simple joys that brought him happiness. He attended the MRDD Workshop in Cleveland. He loved eating banana pudding and singing along to his favorite songs, and those moments reflected the warmth and spirit that marked his life. He was cared for by Sarah and Forest Gilliam from the time he was 4 months old until he moved into a group home. The family continued to keep very close to Anthony.

He is survived by his foster sister, Neva (Marvin) Tripp of Cleveland; his foster niece, Patrice Tripp of Cleveland; and his foster brother, Forest Gilliam Jr. He also leaves behind the friends and caregivers at Broadview Care Center in Madison, Ohio, whose presence and care were part of his life.

Anthony was preceded in death by his foster parents, Sara Gilliam and Forest Gilliam Sr., and by his foster sister, Teretha Dorsey. Their lives remained part of his story and memory.

A memorial gathering will be held on November 4, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes-Painesville, 1009 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio 44077.

Anthony will be remembered with affection by those who knew him, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and caregivers.
