Alan McGoon

Alan McGoon passed away on September 20, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on July 17, 1952, in El Paso, Texas.

Alan was known through his work at the Sheltered Workshop with the Ashtabula County Board of DD. Over the years, he was loved by all his caretakers, and that care and affection were an important part of his life.

He is survived by his brother, William McGoon, who carries forward his memory with love. Alan was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Phillips, and his father, Robert Frank McGoon. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and peace to those who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes-Madison, 2726 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio 44057. A funeral service will follow there from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will take place the same day from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Mentor Municipal Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.
