David Lehtinen "Dick" age 86, passed away Friday February 27, 2015 At the Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. He was born August 31, 1928 in Cleveland to Matt and Olga Marie (Davidson) Lehtinen. Dick was a graduated with the class of 1946 Fairport Harding High School. He was a talented Trombone player, he played in the High School Band and was a bandsman in the Military Band . Dick was a United States Veteran serving in the Air Force and Army during WWII. He attended Bowling Green State University. Mr. Lehtinen was an Engineer for the former Bendix Corporation working in the Avionics Division in Fort Lauderdale Prior employment was at the Industrial Rayon Corporation. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairport Harbor where he sang in the Choir and member of the Masons for 50 years. He was very proud of his Finnish Heritage and an accomplished golfer and loved Jazz. Survivors are his Daughters Jan (Dr. David) Bruce of New Orleans, Louisiana, Beverly (Jim) Lehtinen Harbour of Fairport Harbor, granddaughter Krista Harbour Everson and Laura Bruce. Sister Norma Harvi of Lady Lake, Florida. Preceded in death by his wife Helen A. (Raudasoja) Lehtinen . Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Potti Funeral Homes are Friday February 27, 2015
