James Andrew Pearn, age 62 of Chardon, passed away January 22, 2018 at Mapleview Country Villa in Chardon. Born July 25, 1955 in Sayre, PA to Jack and Betty (nee: Belles) Pearn, he had been a longtime area resident. He worked as a machinist with both GE and Conrail. Jim was a handyman who could fix anything. He was a cat lover; enjoyed his model trains and had a love for antique cars. His greatest joy was his three girls. Survivors include his wife Alfreda (nee: Prybe) Pearn of Chardon; daughters Courtney (Ray) Jenkins of Chardon and Melissa (Scott) Shreiner New Franklin, OH; grandsons Caleb Shreiner and Dylan Jenkins; siblings Tom (Diane) Pearn of Mayfield Village, OH, Paula Purvis of Minerva, OH and Randy (Sue) Pearn of Wadsworth, OH; half-sisters Tammy Pearn of Wooster, OH, Lori Kaiser of Lexington, SC and Debra Wagner of Lilburn, GA; step mother Jeanette Pearn of Hebron, KY and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother George Belles. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30am on Monday, January 29, 2018 at St. Mary Parish 401 North Street, Chardon followed by burial at All Souls Cemetery.
