Jack G. Louis (91) was accepted into the Lord's beloved Kingdom on July 29, 2016 at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake. Born on October 9, 1924 in Cleveland, he was a lifelong resident of Mentor, Ohio. Mr. Louis retired from TRW where he was a boiler mechanic. He also held employment at the Lake West Hospital. Jack was a veteran of the Merchant Marines, was a Naval Officer in World War II, and graduated from the Academy in Kings Point, New York. Jack was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Willoughby Hills and enjoyed being active in amateur radio and astronomy. He created his own telescope, visited observatories, and traveled the U.S. with his wife Grace. He also enjoyed farming and camping. Survivors include his loving wife Grace Irene (Cartwright) Louis, whom he married in 1949 in Willoughby. Living children are Gary (April) Louis of San Diego, Cal., Diane Louis Lovell of Wasilla, Alaska, Donna (David) Stonerock of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mark (Jane) Louis of Reno, Nevada, and Sandra (Mike) Leonard of Mentor, Ohio. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews. Jack preceded in death by his sister Marge. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday August 1, 2016 at the Calvary Assembly of God Church: 28870 Chardon Rd. Willoughby, Ohio 44092 with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Willoughby Cemetery.
