Heikki Jussi Perttu, age 84 of Fairport Harbor, OH passed away Sept. 3, 2021 at his home with his wife and son by his side. Born May 19, 1937 in Ylistaro, Finland to Kalervo F. and Mirjam (nee: Hirvilammi) Perttu, he immigrated in April, 1963 to live with his cousin’s family, the Potti’s in Fairport Harbor. Heikki was a talented musician, playing many instruments including the piano, accordion & xylophone along with composing his own music. He played organ at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairport Harbor & St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Lake Worth, FL. Survivors include his wife Hely (nee: Pitkamo) of Fairport Harbor; son John Perttu of Fairport Harbor; son-in-law Sam Paris of Michigan; grandchildren Marina (Bulut) Agyar of Bad Nevenahr, Germany and Jordan Perttu of Fairport Harbor; great-granddaughter Mila Agyar; siblings Antti (Eva) Perttu of Helsinki, Finland, Matti (Sirkka) Perttu of Inha, Finland, Marja Tapaninen of Helsinki, Finland and Eeva (Mateo Madau) Perttu of Sardinia, Italy; many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughters Kirsi Perttu and Tiina Perttu-Paris, who passed away June 21, 2021 in Michigan. A memorial service for Heikki and his daughter Tiina will be held at 11am on Sept. 25, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairport Harbor with burial to follow at Zion Suomi Cemetery in Fairport Harbor.
