Geraldine Ungers

Geraldine L. Ungers, age 84 of Madison passed away Thursday April 16, 2015 Surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 28, 1931 in Fairport Harbor. Geraldine was a resident of Madison moving here in 1959 She was a prior resident of Mentor where she graduated from Mentor High School in 1948. She was a majorette for The Mentor High School Marching Band, a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Madison, a volunteer for Vacation Bible School at the Church, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Former member of the Madison Country Club, Member of the Madison Garden Club, She was very proud of her Finnish and Hungarian Heritage and enjoyed her many Sailing Trips in the Caribbean. She worked for the Madison School System in the Cafeteria at North Madison Elementary School for 10 years. Geraldine is survived by Daughters Jennifer (Peter) Ungers-Klein of Gulf Stream, Florida Mary Jane Ungers of Madison and Son Douglas (Debbie) Ungers of Madison Grandsons Max and Alex Ungers of Denver, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her husband Matt J. Ungers who passed away in 2011. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday at the Potti Funeral Home 2726 Hubbard Rd. Madison Ohio Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Tuesday April 21, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Church 2846 Hubbard Rd. Madison, Ohio Burial will be in Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Road..
