Forrest B. Haines, age 92, of Geneva was accepted into the Lord's beloved Kingdom on July 3, 2016 at Brookdale -Mentor. He was born on October 15, 1923 in Montpelier, Ohio. Forrest was a former resident of Mentor where he was owner of Forrest Haines & Son Auto Body Repair. He also was employed for 10 years by and retired from R.W. Sidley of Painesville. Mr. Haines was a Veteran serving in the United States Army during WWII. He served as Commander of the Willoughby VFW Post 1500, as a Trustee of the Geneva VFW Post 6846 and was a member of American Legion Post 112 in Madison. Mr. Haines was a Charter member of the Mentor VFW Post 9295. He was also a member of the First Church of Congregational in Painesville. Survivors are Son Allen (Margie) Haines of Benton, Tennessee, Daughter Darlene (Ronald) Preisler of Painesville, Grandchildren Mark Haines, Jennifer Quezada (Mike),Justin Haines, Cynthia Herchick and Daniel Preisler(Andrea). Great grandchildren are Tom and Tony Herchick and Daniel Preisler. Mr. Haines will be reunited with his wife Ruth (61 Years) who preceded him in death in 2007. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm on Friday July 15, 2016 at the Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave. Painesville with visitation prior to the funeral from 10:00 am - Noon. Mr. Haines will be laid to rest at Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Hts.
