Caroline K. Lane

Caroline K. Lane, age 95, of Thompson, passed away on Sept. 6, 2014, at Care Corp Hospice in Huntsburg. Caroline was born Aug. 10, 1919, in Flemington, West Virginia. She had worked for IRC Fibers and at Lawson's before retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo and needlepoint. She is survived by her daughters, Cora Ellen McCord, Carolyn (Carl) Fisher and Shelva (Dennis) Battles; son, William J. Lane; sisters, Alma Costilow, Correna Curtis, Roberta Gallo, Evalena Payne and Emogene Shaffer; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lane, in 1989; daughter, Martha-Dell Lane; brothers, Tomas, Charles, Raymond and Dessel; daughter-in-law, Selena; two grandsons; and parents, Hartsel and Martha McCauley. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, at the Potti Funeral Home, 2726 Hubbard Rd., Madison, Ohio, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014. Burial will be in Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Road. -
